final design for exhibition

As Community Historian at the Museum of English Rural Life Dan worked with intergenerational communities to produce an oral history project that captured the opinions and experience of people with a direct personal experience of the countryside. These interviews were the cornerstone of an exhibition and separate web-based audio guide for the museum.

Audio complemented the exhibition and a web-based audio guide for the rest of museum was completed as part of the project

Dan travelled across the country interviewing vets, remote hill farmers, teachers and many more to understand their views on the countryside…and why it matters to them. His interview with the ‘Yorkshire Shepherdess’ Amanda Owen was a highlight. Read more about it on our audio trails blog.
